[L SEPT SEV] PER AVG IMP VIII Laureate bust of Septimius Severus to left, heroically nude and seen from behind, holding spear in his right hand and shield on his left shoulder; countermark: head of emperor right within oval incuse. Rev. C L I COR Poseidon seated left, holding dolphin in his right hand and trident in his left. BCD Corinth -. BMC -, cf. 642 (differing bust type). NCP p. 16, -. For countermark, Howgego 56. Very rare. Somewhat rough, otherwise, about very fine.
